Labor Day... Family (cousins, mom, siblings) came over to play games and eat delicious Chocolate Turtle cheesecake. That night Cayden slept through the night! I was so excited, but chalked it up to him being worn out from all the attention he got and noise at our house. Tuesday night he woke up as usual, but then came Wednesday night. And Thursday night. Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and even Monday. I couldn't believe Cayden had slept through the night six nights in a row! I thought to myself, There's no way this is a fluke. Maybe he has finally learned to sleep through the night...
How naive of me. I should have known. Cayden is notorious for doing something just long enough for you to think it is a habit, and then SURPRISE... it's not. Cayden is now back to waking up in the middle of the night.

Just wait until he's sleeping through the night for several months and then starts teething. Owen woke up screaming bloody murder in the middle of the night while cutting his first couple teeth... We finally started drugging him up every night before bed. Wow, does that scream wake you up quickly, though.
