Picture Catch Up

Here are some pictures of things we have done recently, but I just haven't posted about. Enjoy Grandma!

Will, Amy, and Ailey were visiting family in Utah and drove down to Provo to have lunch with us. Though this picture doesn't show it, Cayden really liked Ailey. Amy has a really funny picture of them playing footsie (I'll have to steal it and post it for you guys later). I find it hilarious that he is crying when she is half his size! Lol.

We went to In-N-Out. Chad seemed to have more fun with the stickers than Cayden. Poor boy forgot they were on his face and we (being the oh so kind parents that we are) let him be seen in public with them on his face all night. It was hilarious to see little kids pass Cayden and start laughing.

Now that Chad's block class is over he only has one class left this semester! Cayden and I are really enjoying having daddy home more. Cayden seriously can't get enough of his daddy and has even started crying when Chad leaves. Cute. Here they are sharing a snack... I think Chad ended up eating more of it than Cayden did.

P.S. Can you believe that my little boy is almost one?! 5 days...

Water Fun?

Last night we had a water activity for our Cub Scout pack meeting. The kids all had a lot of fun with the exception of Cayden. He wasn't sure what to think.

He actually enjoyed playing with the water balloons... until they popped on him!

Cayden was actually starting to enjoy himself... until I sat him in the pool. Usually Cayden loves being in water; the fact that the water was really cold might have made it not as much fun. This next picture speaks for itself.

I really shouldn't laugh, but this picture is too funny! I am such a mean mom.

Popsicle

At the store today I found these popsicles that are perfect for little kids! They are about two inches long and are slow melting (thanks to a little bit of gelatin) and actually taste really good! (FYI... I wouldn't give them to anyone but a little kid as they would probably have to eat five or six to equal a normal popsicle.) Anyway, they were too cute and I have been wanting to give Cayden a popsicle so I bought them.

Here are some pictures of Cayden's first popsicle experience. I think they're adorable!

Num!

I like these mom!

Sharing. :)

The popsicle fell off of the stick and into Cayden's mouth. He liked it, but it was apparently very cold. Lol.

Memorial Day

Sorry about my 'terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day' venting yesterday; Cayden and I are both happy campers today. :)

*****

We had a great Memorial Day on Monday... here is a run down of the day's events in pictures. (Thanks for some of the pictures Krysta, I stole them from your blog.)

Cayden got a haircut from Grandma. He was pretty good at first (i.e. wasn't initially terrified of the clippers).

It didn't take long to reach the terrified point. This face is so sad and so cute!

Chad walked in the room... "Save me daddy!"

Cayden got a dum dum after all the trauma.

After the haircut Cayden got his first ever bath in the sink.

Then Cayden played outside with daddy... being thrown in the air and jumping on the trampoline.

Playing with Uncle Steven.

Telling Grandma and Grandpa stories by the fire. Cayden really liked Grandma... though maybe it was because of all the s'mores she gave him. ;)

All the fun really wore Cayden out so he took a mini nap in daddy's lap. Love these two boys!

So sweet when he's sleeping.

We had a lot of fun and a lot of yummy food. I got kinda spoiled having Chad home most of the day. So did Cayden, he sure loves his daddy.

Rawr.

Today has been a day. A very long day. Every time I turned around Cayden was spewing something from his mouth. It made me really not want to feed him, but it's not like you can just not feed your child. I was cleaning up one particular vomit/spit mess and discovered that Cayden had a poo explosion. Yes, poo did get on the carpet. When I finished cleaning up the poo mess I walked out of the bathroom to find more vomit mess covering the floor and Cayden. What made it worse was that he crawled through it to get me when he saw me. Joy. Cayden also refused to take his afternoon nap until almost 5pm; I wasn't going to let that happen or he would never go to bed. Cayden was an absolute pill the rest of the night. My floor lamp is no longer working; Cayden pulled it over several times today and broke all three lightbulbs each time. Now I am out of lightbulbs so I can't replace them. Hopefully it just needs new lightbulbs and isn't broken itself. (Btw, how do you keep your child from pulling over your floor lamp? I seriously am thinking about anchoring it to the wall... if only I could.) Oh, and while writing this I accidentally overcooked the pasta for dinner. Wonderful, now I have no idea what I'm going to feed Chad when he gets home from class. Rawr. And yes, I do have Memorial Day pictures, but I don't feel like posting them. So I won't, you'll just have to wait.
