The Way We Celebrate

To celebrate Valentine's Day yesterday Chad and I ate this...

Yummy cheesecake made by yours truly. :) Amazingly delicious! Best cheesecake I've ever had. Seriously.

...and Cayden ate these...

Notice that the brown one is missing its point. While coloring with his Valentine's Day present Cayden took a bite out of the brown crayon, chewed it up, and said, "Yum." Uh, gross.

Cayden playing with his Valentine's Day present. Love him.

A Reader of Fine Magazines

A few weeks ago my friend Nicki came out to Utah for a very brief visit. We were able to eat some yummy food and then I went with the whole parade to go wedding dress shopping for Nicki's sister. While Hilary tried on dress after dress, Cayden found a way to keep himself entertained...

Caught red handed! Yes, he is reading a bridal magazine.

"I like this one!"

At dinner. I seriously love this little face!

Thank you, son.

Grocery Shopping

I just discovered something that has made my shopping trips much easier (assuming the store actually has one). Cayden keeps himself entertained and I don't have to worry about him pulling stuff off the shelves into the cart or throwing stuff out of the cart onto the floor. Love it!

Now if only the top basket would hold everything that I need it to... Oh, and if only I could stop running into things (the car part makes the cart longer than you think, turning corners is not my forte).

Singing or Telling Stories?

This is Cayden's newest trick. He does it in the grocery store, in the car, at home, and even attempts it at church sometimes. I can't decide whether he is trying to sing or tell a story... What do you think? Either way, it usually makes me giggle a little.

WARNING: You might want to turn down the volume on your computer. :)

P.S. Did you notice that he was a little hoarse? He had been doing this for about five minutes before I pulled out the camera. Nutty boy.

I'm a Big Boy!

Usually Cayden needs us to tear/cut his food up into smaller pieces. This last week however he decided he was a big boy and could do it all by himself.

Introducing Cayden, the big boy, eating his cheesy roll-up all by himself! :)

When he finished the first one he promptly held up the wrapper and said, "Mow?" (More?)

We Love Playing Too!

Laundry basket cave at Grandma's.

Eating a huge cookie all by himself at Brian's Court of Honor - he got his Eagle!

Climbing on mommy's back.

Squishy hugs!

Airplane. Cayden no longer sticks his hands out, but instead hugs my feet as tightly as he can.
