Nakey Children

I've gotten really tired of pre-treating and scrubbing stains and spots out of my kids clothes each time I do laundry. The solution? Make them take their shirts off anytime they do something potentially messy!

Cute kids painting!

Eating ice cream. I guess Laura is the only one going topless here. ;)

Well Hello, Sir

The ultimate chocolate face. No one can claim that she didn't enjoy that ice cream cone. And sadly, I think she makes a pretty cute little hairy man. Or puppy.

Growing Up

I had a moment the other day where I was watching my kids eat lunch and realized just how big they're getting. Cayden is four going to turn five in less than a year (ok, really close to a year, but still). He's super smart and active, has a crazy imagination, talks incessantly, and drives me absolutely bonkers. Most of the time he is so sweet and loving towards Laura. And Laura. She is no longer my little baby anymore. She sits at the table and eats her food like a big girl and has all the attitude and sass to go with it. I swear she went from baby to toddler overnight. While it is so exciting to see my kids grow and learn and develop, it also makes me sad. I wish I could keep them tiny and sweet forever. I wish I could just cuddle them all day and never let them grow up. How I am going to miss these two when they eventually get old enough to go to school and leave me all day!

Laura totally thinks she's a big girl. She's very into accessories - this particular day it was Cayden's church shoes and daddy's hat.

Even though she had her own hamburger, she wanted some of Chad's. I swear that thing is almost as big as her head!

Big girls throw tantrums too. This has been an all too frequent occurrence at our house lately. I swear this girl is 1 going on 16.

Picnic lunch. These pictures especially make Laura seem so grown up to me.

Photo Booth

Chad's cousin got married last week and had a super fun photo booth at the reception. I've never done pictures like that before - in a photo booth. We got some funny ones, so enjoy!

Things to note: In the family pictures, Laura looks either completely stoned or drugged. Or maybe both? :) In the very bottom picture of just Chad and I, he licked me at the last minute. I had no idea it was coming. And yes, it was gross.

The whole family. It took some talent to fit that many people in a photo booth. My favorites... Top right corner - all the couples are kissing except for Chad and I. We decided to stick our tongues out. What?! Bottom, middle left - love Laura's face!

Soaking Up the Sun

We've been trying to fit in a lot of water/outside activities lately and squeeze every last ounce out of summer! The kids are having a ball and I'm pretty much pooped by the end of the day.

My two water babes! They love going to splash pads and running through the sprinklers! I love that Cayden has a real smile in this picture and Laura has so much sass and attitude with those glasses on.

We've been eating lots of ice cream at Grandma and Grandpa Higgins' house. By the time Laura finished her ice cream cone her face was covered!

Sitting outside on the porch. The kids love sitting in these chairs at Grandma's house. The one Cayden is in rocks and it is so funny to watch Laura try and rock her chair too.

We've been over to Grandma and Grandpa Higgins' house a lot. And every time we go it usually involved sprinklers and/or water balloons. The kids loved the water balloons!

I love Laura's face in these two pictures; in the second one, her tongue is hanging out. :) This girl has no fear!
