Exhausted

My whole body is tired today... brain, arms, legs, tummy, eyes, back. And it is probably all because yesterday I decided to be a good wife.

Reason I am exhausted #1: Chad was doing yard work. To do both the front and backyard usually takes him between 1 1/2 and 2 hours (depending on how long it has been since he last did it). I decided to help him out and while he mowed the lawn I edged the yard. FYI - weed whackers or whatever you want to call them can get very heavy.

Reason I am exhausted #2: Later in the evening we picked up a movie and afterwards Chad decided it would be fun to ride his longboard down to the grocery store to return it and wanted to know if I would come with him. I told him it would probably kill me and after promises that it was only a mile to the store I agreed to do it. Halfway home I turned to Chad and said there was no way that it was only a mile to the grocery store. As we were nearing home (we were actually halfway up the hill our house is on) my legs turned to banana pudding and I walked my bike the rest of the way up the hill. Just because I was curious I looked up how far it was from our house to the grocery store and found that it is actually 1.7 miles. That's one direction... from the house to the grocery store... that doesn't include coming back. My adorable husband who told me that it would be a 2 mile ride max actually ended taking me on a 3.4 mile bike ride!

Two things I learned... my husband is a horrible judge of distance and I need a massage. :)

Afternoon Walk & Nap in the Grass

The weather was perfect today so Chad and I went for a walk around the neighborhood (I didn't last very long) and then took a little nap in the grass. I love summertime!

Bobby's Wedding

My cousin Bobby got married this past weekend. It was so much fun to see him and his cute wife as well as the rest of the family that I haven't seen since Jesseca's wedding in December. I didn't take any pictures of the actual reception because it wasn't all that decked out and I kinda got sidetracked.

I always love going to weddings/wedding receptions because it reminds me of when Chad and I got married and brings back a lot of great memories. *sigh*

My cousin Bobby and his new wife Katie... cute! (Mom, this picture is just for you since you weren't there.)

Cheesy pictures of Chad and me that I know you all wanted to see. :) Dang I love that boy!

Meet Frank

Chad and I have two cars! Yep, you heard me right... two cars!!! Chad's parents gave us a 1994 Toyota Camry. I'm not sure why, but we are grateful for their generosity. Thank you!

Here is a picture of our two lovely cars. Alex (short for Alexandra) you have already met. Frank is the newest addition, the one wearing the red lipstick. :) Frank got that lovely shade of red lipstick trying to kiss another car a while ago. Chad and his dad are going to fix it up and paint it this summer so he'll be back to his usual white self.

I'm so excited to finally (after almost 2 1/2 years of marriage) have a car all to myself! No more riding my bike to the grocery store and trying to balance five overflowing plastic bags on each handlebar. No more waiting until 9:30pm for Chad to get home to run a simple errand. Holy cow, I'm so excited I'm not sure what to do with myself!

Speechless.

Yes, that is a pair of Hanes underwear... Some things are just wrong no matter how white trash you are. Wow. (I'm just hoping that it was a brand new pair.)

Wedding Ring #3

This is the reason we are yet again buying Chad another wedding ring. The first one got lost in a snowball fight and the second one (pictured above) shattered when Chad fell on concrete. Apparently tungsten is not indestructible like they want you to believe. :) Amazingly enough, even though the ring shattered it came out of the incident without a single scratch. Lol.

We went and bought Chad another ring last night and also got a lifetime warranty that covers pretty much anything that can happen to a ring. So, if Chad decides to shatter his ring again or get really fat fingers and need a new ring (tungsten cannot be resized) we won't have to pay for it. Yay.

Passed! ...kinda...

I got my test results back today and...

... drumroll please ...

...I don't have gestational diabetes! Yay! The Dr said that once again my numbers were high after the first hour, but the second and third hours were fine. For some reason being pregnant has made it harder for my body to metabolize sugar. This is the result:

No sugar. I guess I'll have to listen to my Dr and stay away from sweets (ice cream, cake, brownies, candy, cookies, chocolate, etc.). The funny thing is that ever since he said I shouldn't eat those things I have been craving them. It's like my brain knows I shouldn't eat sugar and so it has decided it wants sugar. Weird because I haven't really craved sweets at all while being pregnant. :/
