Photos Without a Home

It seems like at the end of every month I have a bunch of pictures I took that somehow never made it up here on the blog. Then not knowing what to do I dump them all in one huge post. Well, this month isn't going to be any different. So sit back and enjoy the photo overload. Especially you, Grandma.

Snoot face baby.

The weather has been a little bipolar laterly. But when it's nice enough we try to make it outside. This little girl loves being outside as much as her big brother.

The kids spend a lot of time playing with this little car. Though Laura isn't much of a fan when Cayden locks her inside.

Either telling Daddy a story or telling him off. Love her little finger!

Cute little girl with pigtails!

This kid cracks me up. I asked him to draw a picture of Dad. It's hard to see, but this is what he told me he drew... Dad's head, tummy, and bum bum and tiny arms and legs. And yes, Chad's bum is quite large in the picture. Not sure what Cayden was trying to say. ;)

BYU baby! We start them young around here. My kids are going to bleed blue... none of this red nonsense.

P.S. Clearly I need to work more on taking pictures of Cayden. Poor kid gets left out of the picture taking a lot. Hmm. I need to rectify this somehow.

A Bowtie

I love little boys in bowties and Cayden just happened to get one this past week. I couldn't resist taking some pictures this morning before church.

Le bowtie. And that cheeser face... oh my word.

 Cutie patootie little girl.

Seriously love these two. They might drive me insane occasionally (or really like everyday), but I wouldn't trade them for anything! :)

The Weekend

This past weekend I went up to Idaho for my sister's college graduation from BYU-I. It was short and sweet and without my kids and husband. I'm not gonna lie. It was really nice to get a break from being a mom and to be able to do whatever I wanted when I wanted. :)

Yay Rachelle! Now go be a grown up.

Chad watched the kids while I was gone. They had so much fun, I'm not even sure they missed me. And now for proof that the kids survived without mom...

Eating suckers.

Lots of playing outside. Notice how Laura's hair isn't done. Dad apparently can't do little girl hair. Laura looked kinda homeless when I got home.

Sweet smiles after a good nap.

Thanks Chad for taking such good care of the kids and for letting me get a much needed break. You're such a great husband and daddy and we all love you to pieces!

A Simple Easter

I got back from Colorado a few days before Easter and then my sister came down from Idaho to visit a day later. It was an insane few days trying to clean up after getting home and getting ready for visitors. We didn't get to do all the traditional Easter activities (i.e. dyeing eggs), but we did spend time with family, did a mini Easter egg hunt, ate lots and lots of chocolate, had a visit from the Easter bunny, went to church and talked about Jesus, and had a delicious Easter dinner.

 Being silly with Easter eggs.

Easter egg hunt with cousins. We took some of the millions of cars Cayden already had and put them in the eggs. Shhh, don't tell him. He was so excited!

Laura sat in the same spot the entire egg hunt. She ate chocolate and played with the eggs and couldn't have been happier. :)

Eating her Easter basket. Our neighbor brought over an Easter basket cake thing for both Cayden and Laura. They both took a few bites and then smashed the rest of it. Either it didn't taste very good, or they were too full from dinner. No idea which.

Cute cousins playing. Aunt Jesseca told the boys to smile. Jaxton smiled. Cayden... well, he told us he decided to make an 'angry face' instead. Ha ha ha.

Breakfast of Champions

She would chew on that apple all day if you'd let her.

Getting Crafty

I wanted to get Laura a purse for her first birthday, but as I looked at the options available I hated all of them. They either had silly characters/designs or had hooks and zippers which she can't manage. So I decided to make my own. I found the cutest little tutorial ever and got going. Super easy and super cute! I love the way it turned out - even though I'm a perfectionist and it's not perfect.

Ta da! So much cuter than anything I found in a store and it's exactly what I wanted.

My little model. She loves to carry things around in her purse.

Diva :)
