A 'One-of-a-kind' Easter

Easter this year proved to be very unique with lots and lots of snow! Still, we did all the traditional Easter activities and had a lot of fun!

Getting excited for Easter by channeling their inner bunny.

Cute kids ready to dye eggs.

This girlie kept getting distracted by the pictures on the ads.

All done! Dang! They are cute!

Baskets all ready for the kids.

Checking out the goods. They love their new fishing game.

Check out that awesome bed head!

Egg hunts in the snow with friends...

...and at home, also in the snow. We have bunnies that live in our backyard and the kids were out of their mind excited because they saw eggs that the Easter bunny hid as well as bunny tracks in the snow. No way I could have planned that, but it was perfect!

The most perfect picture ever! Love, love, love! Cute kids in their Easter outfits.

These girls and those faces. Oh my cuteness.

Love my family! Hope you had a wonderful Easter!

Cookies, Projects, Leprechauns, & a Competition

Enjoying cookies and milk. I didn't get any pictures of Cayden because he ate his way too fast!

My most recent project: picture collages for the kid's rooms! It's actually starting to look like we live here! We've also updated all of the door handles around the house as well as the outlets and light switches.

St. Patrick's Day shenanigans! Leprechauns visited the kids bringing necklaces, fuzzy green mustaches, and gold coins! They even used the toilet (forgetting to flush) and left a little bum print on the toilet seat. :) The kids loved it!

Cayden had his DI competition this past weekend. (DI is a creative problem solving competition. The kids work on it all year and then present it for judges.) The kids were so cute and did pretty well. Cayden really enjoyed it and said he wants to do it again next year.

The kids on Cayden's team at the DI awards ceremony. If I'm honest, these kids got second to last place. Not the greatest, BUT... They were the youngest kids competing in their problem (several years younger), the kids and their coaches had never done this before and were still learning the ropes, and they didn't get last place (they beat out one team of much older kids). Yes, they could have done a lot better. But taking everything into consideration I think they did a pretty dang good job.

Little Girl, Big Day

Happy fourth birthday to this sweet little thing! You are the perfect combination of girly girl and tom boy, sweetness and sass, with just the right amount of stubbornness. Love you lots!

Anxiously waiting to open presents.

I love this picture because Grace is totally creeping in to steal the Frozen figures from Laura. Haha!

Loving her makeup that is "just like mommy's!" I thought she'd like the makeup, but I didn't expect her to love it as much as she does. The problem is that Grace does too and we have battles over the makeup multiple times a day. Oy.

Laura was all about an Ariel cake this year. So I found this cake pan and decided to attempt it. If you cover up Ariel's face it looks dang good. The face however... might give you nightmares and make you want to cry.

Regardless of the scary face, this little girl loved her Ariel cake! And she loved celebrating her birthday all day! She also loved that Grandma, Grandpa, and uncle Connor came up to celebrate.

Just Some Things...

Grace wanted some grapes so Chad gave her the whole bunch. She was more than a little bit excited.

We added two new lightsabers to our collection. Now the kids can "fight" all they want.

Love Laura's face here, but Cayden... wedgie?

Someone was so excited to get a big girl bed! I don't know why I waited so long because she took to it like a champ. No problems whatsoever! (Actually, I do know. I like sleeping through the night and didn't want to do anything to rock the boat.)

Meet the newest member of our family, Olivia. Or Livvy for short. :) She's a 2013 Honda Odyssey EX and we all love her. Including Chad; he willingly admitted that he loves our van!

Cayden's class celebrated Dr. Seuss' birthday by wearing pj's to school and eating 'green eggs.'

Grace locked Laura in this box and Laura loved it!
