Playing the Waiting Game

Here's a little bit of what we've been doing while we've been playing the waiting game. I'm so done and this baby needs to make an appearance soon. (Three weeks from tomorrow I'll be induced, so at least there's an end in sight!)

Grace was the only kid that finished her dinner one night, so she got to pick a treat... popcorn and a movie. Love her lounging position!

This kid is so excited for the new Star Wars movie to come out.

The kids have made their Christmas lists! We had to get it done earlier this year since baby is coming really soon.

This little girl and her puzzles. She sits down and does 50 piece puzzles by herself; it may take awhile, but she doesn't give up. And that tongue of hers!

Someone had a birthday! I was too lazy (i.e. tired and pregnant) to make my own dessert so we opted for pre-made ice cream cupcakes.

I think it's safe to say that everyone enjoyed the ice cream cupcakes.

Especially this little girl... who had bright pink frosting everywhere!

Snacks for preschool - turkeys!

I got to help out on Cayden's field trip last week. I think he enjoyed having me there. He chose to sit by me instead of friends and willingly held my hand everywhere we walked. I know it's only a matter of time before he hits the "too cool for mom" stage, but until he does I'll enjoy all the sweetness I can get.

Family bike rides! Cayden has gotten really good at riding his bike this past year (thank you vision therapy!) and the girls have always been naturals. I think both of the girls are going to need bigger bikes next summer.

Halloween Festivities

Cutest Pumpkins in the Patch

We made it to the pumpkin patch this past weekend and yes, I had the cutest pumpkins there. By far. ;) The kids enjoyed it just as much as last year. Since we grew our own pumpkins this year we went more for the fun rather than to pick out pumpkins. It's safe to say that we'll be back again next year.

Cayden and Laura enjoyed the bounce house. Grace refused to go until their time was about up and then she was mad because she couldn't have a turn.

Playing on the giant tires. Cayden and Laura are in the background on the huge tire. At one point all the kids hopped down in there and then of course couldn't climb back out. You would have paid to see a pregnant lady try to pull them out of there. Haha! But not really.

Gracie started out riding behind Chad and loved it. She even got a little wild and threw her hands up in the air.

After about 5 minutes Grace decided that she wanted to ride by herself. We weren't sure how'd she do, but she pedaled great! She had some slight steering issues so Chad had to follow her around the course; obviously we need to work on looking where we're going.

(A Lack of) September Fun

I officially dropped the ball in September. I didn't take very many pictures which means one of two things... either we didn't do anything fun or we were so busy having fun that I couldn't be bothered to take any pictures. We'll just assume it's the latter.

Just quickly looking through the pictures that I do have, be prepared for the Gracie show. Apparently this little girl is dang cute or something. ;)

Cute girly cousins from when Grandma and Grandpa Higgins and Uncle Eric, Aunt Carly, and baby Rowan visited.

These two drive me nuts with their arguing sometimes. But on this particular morning walking to the bus stop they were holding hands and being so cute with each other. Maybe there is hope.

Cayden's second grade school picture. He is looking less and less like a little boy. I might be biased, but I think he's pretty dang handsome.

Speaking of school, here is a picture of Cayden's heritage project he spent weeks working on. He gave a presentation all about Ireland, one of the countries that his ancestors came from. I think he did a great job on his project!

After eating every tomato that she could get her hands on all summer, this little girl still isn't tired of them. Grandma and Grandpa Bird brought a huge bag full of tomatoes down for her and she ate every single one. (Seriously though, her cheeks in the second picture. Have you ever seen a kid gorge themselves on tomatoes?! Hahahahahaha!)

Grace is such a little mom. She takes good care of her baby and brings it everywhere. Everywhere, literally.
