Trick or Treat

Happy Halloween from the cutest police man and butterflies ever!

I could just eat them they are so cute!

The loot. This is after we handed out several bowls of candy. And people, this is a huge bowl; as in it holds 42 cups of whatever... and the bowl is overflowing.

Pumpkins, Pumpkins, and More Pumpkins

Our warty, witchy pumpkin.

Eating pumpkin (and mummy) quesadillas with cousins!

Meanwhile I got to talk with this awesome lady and snuggle that cute baby!

Cayden had no problem digging out the pumpkin guts this year. I am one proud mama!

Laura also didn't seem to have a problem with the guts. Except that she'd stick her hand way inside the pumpkin only to bring out one solitary seed. Every single time. I couldn't seem to convince her that it was going to take hours to clean out her pumpkin that way.

Grace however... not a big fan. Does it make me a bad mom since I can't stop laughing at this picture?

Proud kiddos with their pumpkins. Laura wanted a happy pumpkin and Cayden wanted a mean pumpkin. I think we succeeded.

The finished product.

Pumpkin Patch Fun!

We found a cute little garden center fairly close to where we live and took the kids there a few weeks ago when Chad's family was visiting. It was super cute and the kids had a blast - we will definitely be going back every year!

First activity of the day... silly pictures!

I absolutely love everything about the bus picture. Laura driving, Cayden staring in shock at Grandma and Grandpa kissing, Steven hanging off the back... Love, love, love!

Next up, playing and fun games.

Bean bag toss

Throwing balls

Ring toss
We managed to take one family picture. It's pretty cute despite the super bright light.

Race car driving

Helicopter pilot

This picture doesn't do the size of the tires justice. Laura climbed all the way to the top by herself!

Cayden loved this corn kernel pit! I think he would have been content playing here all morning.

Gracie loved this little slide.

Bounce house fun! Love this picture of Laura - she had just chucked the blue ball down at the kids below. Little stinker.

This little one did not want to play in the bounce house. I think she was overwhelmed by how many kids there were.

Then we raced pedal carts. This was probably the favorite activity of the day!

It was hot and this cutie had to work hard. Her legs were pretty tired at the end.

Grace refused to ride in a seat behind Chad and made Grandpa push her around the course the whole time. Good thing Grandpa thinks she's pretty cute.

Chad gaining ground on Cayden. Zoom in on Chad's face - hahahahahaha!

These photos are the best yet. Cayden and Grace got in a jam. Grace thought it was hilarious and her facial expressions are amazing!

After racing pedal cars, Grandma treated everyone to a train ride. The kids really enjoyed this activity too.

Ready to ride.

Gracie and Cayden were pretty excited.

Cute picture with my girl. She looks so sweet and innocent here.

We finished off the morning picking out and washing our pumpkins.

Playing, Halloween Fun, and Hiking

Cutie girl playing with Grandma.

Seriously amazing. I can't help but laugh each time I look at these pictures. And his face. Hahahahahahaha! (Seriously, blow this picture up and check out his face.)

Our monster door. We rock.

Chad being silly with gummy eyeballs.

Gracie + highlighter = makeup?
This girl. *sigh* She is totally a tornado.

We went hiking with Chad's family in Castlewood Canyon while they were here visiting. It was surprisingly easy - either that or I'm just in dang good shape ;) - and gorgeous! We ended up hiking about two miles (much more than we anticipated) and the kids did great. Cayden walked the whole way, Laura at least 3/4 of the way, and Gracie at least half. That's a lot of walking for such little legs!

The whole family.

Gracie did so well! She walked pretty far for such an itty bitty.

Kiddos playing on the trail.

Looking at the water. It was too cold to play in so this was as close as they could get. And Laura... what's with the face?

Little stinker scooting closer to the water.

Leave it to Laura to have to go to the bathroom with no sign of a restroom anywhere. Little girl had her first experience peeing in the weeds. I had to sneak a peek. :)
